"The Artist's Circle" explores the relationships between an artist,
the artist's work and the inevitable covey of critics, scholars and
"hangers-on" who would rather judge a piece of art than simply enjoy it.
This past May 1999, Derek joined in making the short film. The project, was filmed in 35mm by Emmy award winning director of photography Joel Ransom and was directed (written and edited) by Bruce Marchfelder. Many thanks, Michelle (Miki) Czernin von Chudenitz for this info and excellent picture.

PARIS - April 25, 2000. The 39th The International Critics Week at Cannes is pleased to announce the selection of THE ARTIST'S CIRCLE (Canada, directed by Bruce Marchfelder).
