Dana Delany(1956 - )Biography from Baseline
Occupation: Actress Engaging talent who shone as war-torn nurse Colleen McMurphy on ABC's Vietnam drama "China Beach." Delany started her career working in New York theater and then playing parts in TV soaps "Love of Life" and "As the World Turns." She made her feature debut in THE FAN (1981). From there Delany played the part of the consummate girlfriend in guest spots for "Moonlighting" and "Magnum P.I." She was then in the little-seen NBC series "Sweet Surrender," which eventually led to "China Beach." After the run of the show, Delany made the transition from TV lead to supporting actress in such feature films as HOUSESITTER and Paul Schrader's LIGHT SLEEPER (both 1992). |
