quote from the review on letterbox:
The heady world
of high finance meets
the rough justice of the
streets when leading Wall
Street executive J Conrad Harper
(Jack Scalia - 'Dallas') finds himself
locked behind bars, convicted of a crime
he didn't commit.
Years later he is pardoned and released back into society. But now tough and streetwise, with lightning instincts and nerves of steel, Harper knows too much has changed for him to return to his old life. What he needs is a new career, and when he finds himself forced to protect the sister of an old friend, he knows he has found one. J Conrad Harper, jet-set executive, and Connie Harper, prison inmate, have merged into one unbeatable bodyguard - the ultimate pointman. Review:
J
ack Scalia stars as Connie Harper, a successful broker and charming man.
One fine morning he comes in the office in a good mood and suddenly
policemen arrest him. His partner, Robert Bouter, falsely accuses Connie. He
is innocent, but he gets sent to jail for fraud. Here he gets acquainted
with Julio, who has stolen diamonds from the dealer, Jacob Raisaac (Derek de
Lint), so that he could receive the insurance money. He wants to get the
diamonds back, but Julio has hidden them. Also the life of Julio's sister,
Rosie, is in danger.
In three years Connie's lawyer attains his freedom. Upon Connie's release, Julio in the jail asks him to protect his sister and he embarks on a new career as a bodyguard. Connie managed to protect the girl from Raissac's people and finds the diamonds in a large aquarium in a cafe. Then he informs the police of the theft of the diamonds. The police arrest Raisaac and he appears before the judge. In the courtroom he gets a lawyer when he finds out he is being accused of fraud. And the same judge who has condemned Connie in the beginning of the story says the same words to the present swindler. |
