Derek de Lint stars the handsome opera costume designer
Chris Brine. He become acquainted with Gaby Hart (Charlotte Rampling),
is the sister of police superintendent Bert Sanders (Michael Sarrazin).
Gaby is beautiful woman, who recently has lost a husband.
The close relations are quickly established between Chris and Gaby. Sanders learns that Chris' friendship with Gaby has blossomed into an affair. It results Bert in fury, because he adored the sister. Eventually deranged Sanders invites Chris to accompany him to the nightclub. After the show, Sanders provokes Chris with his sexual advances, beats him in the dressing room, then knocks him through a railing and into the raging sea below. |
