Amsterdam. 1940. Holland has occupied by the fascists. And, it seem, young Jewish boy David Goldberg was born
under a lucky star. He has fond parents, who sing in a cabaret a song "The Lucky Star", friends. And the westerns is
David’s greatest love. One day he sees in antiquarian shop a cool pistol, which have the heroes of his favourite
movies. He made every effort to become the happy owner of this thing. At the night he gets out on a roof and
begins to play in real cowboy. While he plays, the fascists rush into the house and take away his parents. When
he finds out, that there was alone, he takes his things and leaves the house. Then he tries to pass through a
check-point on the bridge, he is detained by the soldier. But a woman explains to the soldier, that David is her son,
who ran out on her. Mss. Bakker brings David on the farm. And David become enthusiastic over the stable. It’s a
place like in his favourite westerns.
