Ik ben 16 jaar en heb een prettig gestoorde moeder die het leuk vind om mij te pesten....
Zij heeft deze site gevonden en toen kwam ik net binnen " Iris , hij heeft 2 zonen van jou leeftijd..."
Je kan begrijpen , dat ik dat iets minder vind....
Zou je voor mij op de site willen zetten dat je zonen allemaal getrouwd zijn en 6 kinderen hebben dan heb ik rust ;))

Hoi Derek en familie,
Hoe gaat het ermee? Long time no see!
Met mij gaat alles goed. Gister nacht helaas Poltergeist:The Legacy gemist, althans het eind dan. Balen want het was best spannend( Dark Priest). Zal nu op het internet moeten lezen hoe het afliep.
Ben volop bezig met mijn muziek de laatste tijd, ga weer op zangles, speel weer dwarsfluit en piano. Ben nu het Ave Maria van Bach aan het leren zingen en piano spelen tegelijk. Heb nog nooit echt aandacht besteed aan mijn zang. Ben met dwarsfluit vrij ver gekomen. Heb nog meegedaan aan het Nationaal Fluitconcours met het fluitconcert van Mozart in d-dur. Maar ik wilde eigenlijk naar het conservatorium voor mijn zang.
Ga nu toneel lessen volgen en hoop volgend jaar naar de toneelschool in Eindhoven te kunnen gaan.Het is nog maar afwachten of dat financieel gaat lukken maar ja idealen zijn altijd leuk.

Dag Derek en zonen!
Een vraagje: Bestaat er al een boek over jou Derek? (biografie)?

Wie weet schrijf ik hem wel voor je 50e verjaardag in 2000.
Verder ben ik bezig met wat vertaal werk van Nederlands naar Engels en andersom. Je zult het wel zien.

Hallo Derek!
Vandaag werd de film Burning Bridges uitgezonden. Welliswaar niet op een Nederlandse zender maar wel op Belgie. Van mij had je nog wel wat vaker op mijn beeldscherm mogen verschijnen in deze film. Leuke rol hoor een overspelige echtgenoot.
Misschien ga ik in Januari het orientatie jaar doen op de toneelscholl in Eindhoven. Vorig jaar heb ik meegedaan aan de selectie helaas had ik toen te weinig ervaring en raden ze mij daar aan om eerst een inleidend jaar te gaan doen. Je moest theoretisch namelijk ook al een heleboel weten.Maar dst zul je zelf ook wel weten natuurlijk. Maar het was wel een heel leuke ervaring. De sfeer was om te snijden! Heb helemaal dubbel gelegen toen ik een gebakken ei na moest doen en me moest gaan verdiepen hoe een gebakken ei zich voelde. Ja ja. Een monoloog houden was best moeilijk.
Aanstaande zondag ben je weer te zien in Poltergeist the Legacy op sbs6( Nederlandse zender)The Thirteenth Generation. Ik geloof dat de een na laatste aflevering is van het vierde seizoen. Hopelijk zenden ze de andere drie seizoenen ook nog uit en stopt het niet.
Hoe lang woon je nu al niet meer in Nederland? Je kunt toch nog wel iets herinneren van het Nederlands? Ik denk van wel dus daarom schrijf ik je maar gewoon in het Nederlands. Via via hoorde ik dat je zonen deze site ok wel eens bekijken kunnen zij ook Nederlands?

Hoi Derek!
Ik hoorde van Helen dat je een paar dagen op deze site bent geweest en dat je dus ook mijn boodschapje hebt gelzen. Toen welliswaar in het Engels(ai wat een typ fouten zaten daar in!) Deze keer zal ik proberen er op te letten hoor. Helen gaf in haar mailtje ook aan dat ik met een gerust hart je in het Nederlands kan emailen dus bij deze. op Clariana's site staat trouwens ook een message van mij in het Nederlands. Hopelijk check je die ook nog eens. Tot mijn grote spijt moet ik je bekennen dat ik je tot voor kort niet eens kende. Via PTL wel in middels en toen herinnerde ik mij ook e gezien te hebben in Lang Leve de Koningin! Toen maakte je al een grote indruk op me. Dat je in De Aanslag hebt gespeeld en in Soldaat van Oranje zegt me eigenlijk niets. Ik denk dat een jaar of vier gelden soldaat van Oranje een keer is uitgezonden op Nederland drie. Helaas horen ik hier in Nederland helemaal niets over je. Als ze het Over grote Nederlandse acteurs hebben dan spreken ze over Monique van de Ven en Willeke van Amelrooy. Allemaal goede actrices maar jij wordt helemaal vergeten. En dat is eigenlijk toch wel een beetje triest hoor.
Als je mijn message bij Clariana hebt gelezen dan weet je dat ik grootse plannen heb voor de toekomst. Ben al jaren bezig te zoeken wat ik wil vinden. Klinkt tamelijk vaag maar dat is het ook. Op een of andere manier heeft alles in mijn leven me weerhouden om naar de klein kunst academie te gaan in Amsterdam want zoals je misschien nog niet wist ben ik helemaal gek van zang, dans,muziek en toneel. Helaas heb ik me door allerlei mensen ervan laten te weerhouden om te doen wat ik echt wil. Excuses als: er zijn zoveel mensen die het toneel op willen en maar zo weining die er echt iets van bakken of je komt niet eens door de auditie. Je hebt te weinig ervaring enz. Maar nu staat mijn besluit vast ik ga naar de Klein Kunst Academie, miljoenen acteurs of niet met ieder het zelfde ideaal ik denk dat dat je het uiteindelijk moet hebben van zelfvertrouwen, respect en geloof in je kunnen en dan kun je al je idealen waar maken! Ik ben nog jong dus ik heb nog een poosje te gaan gelukkig want het leven kan niet uitdagend genoeg zijn voor mij. Ik heb al heel wat diepe dalen overleefd. MIjn tijd om te emailen is bijna om, dus moet ik er helaas mee stoppen voor vandaag. Ik hoop dat je dit een keertje leest en voor de rest succes in je werk, met je gezin en je vrouw.Ik heb gehoord van Helen dat je zoons deze site ook wel eens checken dus ook zij de groetjes en tot ziens/sprekens/emails/schrijfs/horens! Zeker weten!

Ha! Wow...I didn't know this place was here! I was starting to wonder if I was the only person who even knew who he was! I am glad your here. And to Derek. I will be honost. I don't watch much television or watch movies often because I am so busy doing other things. But, I caught a PTL episode one night and yours was the only program I would run home to watch...and record. I know of the other movies you have done but I cannot seem to get them here in this town. I just wanted to say that I hate that his show was cancelled! I'm hoping that it might come back. I think that Derik de Lint is gorgeous and his accent just makes it worse (or should I say better). I know that he is a very accomplished and professional actor but still he is gorgeous - its quite distracting really.

hi there, I'm very interested in the paranormal world to give my life another dimension. it gives me hope and love in life to look behind the reality as we konow it so far. Poltergeist the Legacy is one of the programs I watch. It's new in the Netherlands and i hope they will continue after 2000 with the serie.
I never heard from Derek before. I have great respect for his work and I love to watch him acting fabulous. I hope he checks out this page and will read this message from me.

When I was studying in France in the spring of 1989, I played an extra in the filming of The Free Frenchman. I also was able to be a stand-in for Derek in various scenes. I am looking for any information on how to obtain a copy of video for The Free Frenchman. To continue my previous message, as an American, I rarely get to see your work. Since watching PTL, I have found some of your other work (The Assualt, Soldier of Orange, etc) and found that you are an excellent actor. You deserve so much more recogntion that you have received. "Stealing Heaven" is a movie that is all the more interesting due to its basis in historical fact. Although Derek deLint gave a fine performance as Peter Abelard, I was moved more by the visual impact of Derek as a man. Being a woman, I would have to be made of stone to be unaffected by his extraordinary beauty, and I'm wondering how good he is still looking now, some ten years after that film was made. Here in Australia we don't get to see any of the other productions in which he has appeared.

I have been a fan of Derek de Lint's ever since I say my first episode of PTL in the second season and have enjoyed many of his movies, such as "The Assault" and "Abelard and Heloise", ever since. I was very disappointed and disgusted with SciFi when they decided there would be no fifth season. (They really don't live up to their promises, do they?) I know that Derek, with his talent, will find some interesting work soon. I also enjoyed his recent Chat, but it wasn't long enough! Derek, if you ever read this, I hope you will Chat again with your fans soon.

Nice site, with good, clear pictures. I first saw DdL on Poltergeist; the Legacy, then in his wonderful light-hearted role in The Man who made Husbands Jealous. He's a great actor and should receive much more recognition. I'd love to see him get a really major movie role. I bet he'd play well in Shakespeare too; as a fiendishly sinister Iago in Othello or as a haunted and angst-ridden Hamlet.

After years of coming to this site it is about time I signed the guestbook! Here is my sappy, gushing, rambling story. It all started when I was at the video store because I was confused, wanted to escape into a movie for a few hours to help clear my head. I was walking towards the comedies when a video in the foreign films caught the corner of my eye. I stopped and looked at it, it "clicked", and the man on the cover seemed familiar somehow. (I rented it, and it has become my favorite movie and Derek de Lint my favorite actor. Which is funny since I never paid attention to actors before nor watched many movies. Oddly enough, watching Stealing Heaven somehow cleared up the confusion in my heart, too! Derek de Lint is immensely talented as an actor, and as a person seems like a great (and funny!) person from the interviews and conversations I’ve read - I wish he’d do more - I’m still kicking myself for having to miss this last chat - I would love to talk with him… I'm rambling again, back to Stealing Heaven... ) I was taken with Abelard from the moment he graced the screen for the first time. Half way through, my heart too over. I was completely moved - I forgot I was even watching a movie. I don’t even know how to describe the effect that film had on me, but it is one of the most intense I’ve experienced. I dried my eyes with the few remaning tissues from the box to watch the credits so I could find out who played Abelard. I didn’t know if it was him or the actor who played him that was touching me so deeply, but am convinced if Abelard were played by someone else it would not have had that effect. Derek, on the other hand, can give even a shallow character a breath of life and make me care about them. Anyway, I searched the web and found this site, and was able to learn more about both. I’ve watched all Derek’s movies that I can get my hands on, including some of the Dutch films thanks to Helen. And this site is a godsend. Watching Derek’s films has opened many doors for me - I have read books, seen films, and learned histories I would have never thought to look for, I now watch movies and love foreign films...I’ve made new and wonderful friends..the list goes on. He will always have a very warm, special place in my heart. Helen’s beautiful and informative site has inspired me to learn html and make a website of my own (Not to mention spending way too much money and time trying to track down obscure films so I can see more Derek! But it’s worth it.), which makes me appreciate this site even more now that I know what all is involved. Truly a labor of love! And Helen is one of the most talented and kind people I know. Thank you both, Helen and Derek, for sending me in a direction I might not have gone in otherwise and bringing me joy. You have touched my life despite the many miles between us. Your sacrifices and appreciated greatly. Derek, if you read this by any chance…. Here’s hoping you get a movie that is worthy of your talents. I will miss seeing you on P:TL, but some more really good movies... Oh my! See what you did? I’d love to see more of you (and on the big screen), and I wish you much joy and success in the future. You are the best! Thanks.
