It's a story about the scientist Andrew McLaren uses a time machine to travel forward in time. Here he know, that his wife Susan was killed. He comes back in the present and tries to prevent murder. Susan decides to throw him. Andrew wants to stop her, by explaining, that only near to him she is in safety. In one tragical day, Andrew arrest, but he will run from a prison, finds a pistol and comes in the house. In the meantime Susan is going together with a lover to leave. Andrew gets into a rage, he tries to keep Susan, suddenly a fatal shot sounds. At last he understands, what only he is a murderer. Then he comes back in the far past, that day, when young Andrew should get acquainted with Susan and kills itself. After his body disappears, through glass of cafe we see Susan, who decides to a suicide and now her can nobody stop...
Derek plays a small role of the Andrew's friend. By the way, the actress Laurie Holden (Susan) stars in an episode of "Poltergeist": "Thirteenth generation".
